performance art ephemeral nature brings questions regarding its existence after the iteration. documentation is important from the standpoint of archival but sometimes videos, photography, instructions and relics are seen as artworks in their own right.

about the presenter:
Tanya Michele Amador is a freelance writer, independent curator, and researcher specialising in contemporary Southeast Asian art. she has an established and in-depth knowledge of the local and regional art scene and its histories, the media scene, and a wide network of arts and media contacts, both in Singapore and throughout Southeast Asia. based in Singapore for the last ten years, Tanya has worked with artists such as the Gao Brothers and local favourites, Aiman, Nandita Mukand, and Justin Lee on curated projects and events. 

Tanya has been published by various magazines and newspapers in the Unites States and Southeast Asian publication such as Art Republik, Plural Art Mag, and Art & Market. She holds a Masters of Asian Art Histories from LASALLE College of the Arts Singapore, a Goldsmiths University of London partnership, as well as a recipient of the Winston Oh Postgraduate Research Grant Award. she is currently conducting research on audience reception of performance.
