performance plus 2019

Initially classically trained, Zach found his way into experimental music by way of jazz piano and electronic production, as well as pursues interests in the traditional music of South East Asia and sound art. He approaches his practice through finding these points of dialogue between traditionally compartmentalized music worlds and exploring a visceral, embodied approach to sound.

Aside from his solo work, Zach is also a member of the Rắn Cạp Đuôi collective where he primarily plays electronics, guitar, drums, and synthesizers while collaborating on production and engineering with Đỗ Tấn Sĩ. Earning critical acclaim with the 2019 release of his project Degradation (Flaming Pines), his work has also been featured in galleries in the UK, Japan, France, Korea, Vietnam, and the US. Most recent institutions include with Sin|Centro in Bogota, Colombia. Haenghwatang Arts Space in Seoul, S. Korea and with the Wire magazine with Iklektik in London, UK.
