from July 15, 2019 collective member Kim Duy will begin his occupation of the MoT+++ space. over the course of two months Kim Duy will develop new works and invites the audience to observe his ongoing art marking processes. his studio will last until September 14, 2019.

about the artist:
through a multidisciplinary practice, Kim Duy questions the changing conditions of time and space in art and language, the reading of history through visual art and the performative nature existing behind still images. his artworks use modest materials such as paper to explore his interests in minimalism, experimentation and abstraction. Kim Duy was born in Hanoi, Vietnam in 1987. he studied painting at the University of Fine Arts, Hanoi from 2005 to 2008 before moving to Germany in 2010. he graduated in 2014 from the Academy of Fine Arts, Nuremberg, where he was under the instruction of Professor Jochen Flinzer who awarded him Meisterschüler. in 2018 Kim Duy was selected as an A. Farm residency artist for the July to December season in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and joined the MoT+++ artist collective. his work can be found in the Post Vidai and the Nguyen Art Foundation collections.
