Scott is an emerging artist from Adelaide in South Australia. Born in 1954 he has a Bachelor of Visual Art and Design from the Adelaide College of the Arts majoring in Sculpture. He has had several joint exhibitions in his home state; most notably as a winner in the Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize. His painting and sculptural art works are expressions of an ongoing interest in the values that underpin and determine the nature of the societies in which we live. His work explores the relationship we have with materialism and its many manifestations; consumerism, the search for happiness, social inclusion, poverty, political spin, climate change and the environment. Scott works with a wide range of materials such as LED lights, recycled plastics and discarded objects but always keeps the joy of making as the central component.
