A. Farm is pleased to present Bye, Bay, Buy, an end-of-year celebration concluding our very first residency experiments.
As this cycle comes to an end, Season 0 artists Maung Day, Trâm Lương, Nguyễn Kim Duy, Phương Giò, Ed Smyth, Lại Diệu Hà, Luca Lum, Latthapon Korkiatarkul and Cian Duggan reveal the outcome of various months of research and artistic exploration to finally present the works they have developed over the course of this inaugural residency period.
Bye . Bay . Buy also features the work of Maxime Brygo. His photographic prints of Southern Vietnamese landscapes and monuments are the results of his three-month residency at Villa Saigon (Institut Français). As our artists maintain a stronghold over the studios and the facility, other external guests temporarily take possession of our gallery, including video artist Cao Hoàng Long, and sound performers Dexter-III, Junichi Usui and Teddy Chilla. Artist-run Cù Rú Bar, a staple of Saigon’s artistic scene, continue to preside over A. Farm’s festivities with local wines, liqueurs, and cocktail improvisation.
This is an opportunity for us to proudly present the culmination of hard work from our resident artists, as we say farewell to those of Season 0 and prepare to welcome those of Season 1. It is also a chance to recognize the friendships A. Farm has made so far in its beginning as a project in support and celebration of Saigon’s wider artistic community.

Established in 2018, A. Farm is a hub for artists, cultural workers, events and exhibitions. Located in a converted factory in District 12 at the edge of Ho Chi Minh City, A. Farm is collaboratively managed by the arts organizations the Nguyen Art Foundation, MoT+++ and Sàn Art.

Nghệ sĩ “Mùa 0” Maung Day, Trâm Lương, Nguyễn Kim Duy, Phương Giò, Ed Smyth, Lại Diệu Hà, Luca Lum, Latthapon Korkiatarkul và Cian Duggan sẽ trình bày các tác phẩm họ đã phát triển trong suốt thời gian lưu trú mùa khai mạc vừa qua.
Bye . Bay . Buycũng giới thiệu tác phẩm của Maxime Brygo. Bộ ảnh về cảnh quan và di tích miền Nam Việt Nam của anh là kết quả sau ba tháng lưu trú tại Villa Saigon (Viện Pháp). Ngoài các nghệ sĩ làm việc và trưng bày trong xưởng và không gian chung ở A. Farm, các khách mời cũng sẽ xuất hiện ở phòng trưng bày, bao gồm nghệ sĩ video Cao Hoàng Long và các nghệ sĩ biểu diễn âm thanh Dexter-III, Junichi Usui và Teddy Chilla. Quán bar Cù Rú do nghệ sĩ điều hành, một yếu tố không thể thiếu trong cộng đồng nghệ thuật Sài Gòn, tiếp tục chủ trì hội hè tại A. Farm với rượu và cocktail ngẫu hứng.
Đây là cơ hội cho chúng tôi trình bày công sức lao động của các nghệ sĩ lưu trú, cũng như chia tay các nghệ sĩ Mùa 0 và chào đón nghệ sĩ mới Mùa 1. Sự kiện này cũng là dịp để chúng tôi ghi nhận những người bạn đã hỗ trợ A. Farm và cộng đồng nghệ thuật tại Sài Gòn.
Vậy hãy đánh dấu trong lịch của bạn, thứ Bảy ngày 8/12 là một ngày không thể bỏ qua ở Sài Gòn! Đối với những người không thể tham dự sự kiện, triển lãm sẽ mở cửa trở lại vào thứ Hai ngày 11/12 đến Chủ Nhật ngày 16/12, từ 2 giờ chiều đến 8 giờ tối.
